Mastering Negotiation: How to Secure Deals with the Harvard Negotiation Method

Jets Grant Haason Reddick Permission to Seek Trade Amid Contract Dispute: Latest NFL Updates

In a major development, the New York Jets franchise has announced that have given pass rusher Haason Reddick permission to seek a trade because of a holdout. Indicated during the NFL owners meeting in Atlanta by the New York Jets owner Woody Johnson this is a reversal of some sort on the teams' position. First, the Jets had rejected Reddick’s trade demand, which he tendered in August.

Reddick had made 50.5 sacks in the last four seasons and was traded to the Jets from the Philadelphia Eagles on 29 March. Since then the defensive end has been out for a strike which gave him and his team’s management some solid reasons on why he should be paid like one of the best edge rushers in the NFL. He avoided all team activities and waived about $4.8 million of game wages besides other losses of $5 million in fines. If he doesn’t get back by Week 13, his contract will toll into 2025 and the Jets will own his rights for an additional season.

In a role reversal, Reddick’s new agent Drew Rosenhaus met with Jets GM Joe Douglas before Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills where it was said that the conversation was spirited. Rosenhaus said recently he wanted to keep Reddick in New York but is now allowed to shop around this client to spark Reddick’s interest in playing for the Jets.

Still, Reddick remains a hot commodity because there are never enough of edge rushers in the NFL. However, it could be a challenge to find a trade partner because of the $9.5 million he is currently signed for and the latest one-year refusal by the Jets.

It puts the Jets in a precarious place, as the team anticipated that Reddick would be a significant upgrade to its defense after trading for him in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick. Whether he remains a Jet or departs elsewhere will shape much of Reddick’s trajectory as well as the Jets’ fortunes this year.

A Trump Presidency: What to Expect for International Politics and Global Economics

Donald Trump's foreign and economic policies during his first term as president were marked by an approach that often clashed with traditional diplomatic norms. His administration pursued several “America First” policies, which prioritized U.S. interests over global cooperation. His economic policies focused on deregulation, tax cuts, and reshaping trade relationships to favor American workers. His foreign policy was often one of unilateralism, challenging longstanding alliances and institutions while negotiating directly with adversarial powers. This approach, while controversial, reshaped both the American and global geopolitical landscape in lasting ways. If Trump were to win a second term, several key dynamics of international politics and the global economy would be likely to evolve in response to his leadership style. 1. Reinforced “America First” Policy in Trade and Economics One of the cornerstones of Trump’s political platform has been his commitment to “America First” — ...
